RecyclemaniaRecyclemania 2010 - CSI entered the Waste Minimization competition, placing 21st out of the 200 colleges and universities, competing in that category. The Waste Minimization competition measured food, can, plastic bottle, and cardboard waste reduction. Throughout the nation 750 schools competed in Recyclemania's various categories. Special thanks go out to Thomas Koerner who compiled CSI's waste reduction data and continues to be a champion in reducing waste on campus.

CSI celebrates Earth Week 2010 and the 40th Anniversary of Earth Day April 22nd.Green Week (April 19-23) and Earth Day (April 22) 2010 - CSI celebrated Earth Day's 40th anniversary with a week of activities focused on sustainable practices, including campus clean-up, a local foods menu in the cafeteria, and launching a yellow bike program for transportation throughout campus.

Our goal for 2009-2010 was to better inform the CSI community about living a more sustainable life style through recycling—using Green Week as a focal point for our success.
